No snow photos of today's skiff from this household this morning.
I see that Meyla up on North Center Valley Road posted a few shots of white stuff near her house, as did several others this morning.
I shall remain in denial as long as possible, and I shall not take pictures of the coating of snow we received this morning.
Every year as I grow older, I become less a fan of snow.
And, if it's got to fall, the least it could do is have a little substance.
The skiff we have received today does nothing but remind me that there are leaves under that stuff.
And, those leaves (along with dog droppings) will get to stay on the ground as long as the snow hides them.
In addition, this morning's dose does me no good if I want to walk across Meserve's field.
Enough snow to hide the cowpies but not enough to protect one's footgear should one step in the the wrong spot.
Yes, in my mind, the snow needs to get serious or just go away and come back again around Christmas. I would not complain then.
Anyway, I'm posting pre-snow pictures, taken the day before yesterday, when I took some time from picking up leaves and accompanied Bill on a geocaching outing to Trestle Creek.
We did get into some snow about four miles up the road at the roadside park.
The Trestle Creek dusting of white stuff actually looked kinda pretty with its powdered sugar effect upon brilliant green moss which covers so much of the ground and tree roots in that spot.
Not a lot of sunlight gets in there because of the cover from huge limbs, hanging from tall trees.
When we drove up the road to the geocache location, we passed an old dump truck, probably parked in its final resting spot in the trees just off the road.
I asked Bill if we could stop there on the way back for me to snap some photos.
That stop aroused the attention of the neighbor lady across the road who wasted no time coming to check on what I was doing.
"Just taking a picture of the old dump truck," I told her.
"Why would you want to take a picture of that truck?" she asked.
"Cuz it's kinda artistic," I said.
"Well, okay, go ahead," she said, turning around and going back toward her house.
I guess, just like with snow, one person's perspective can differ greatly from another's.
I thought it was a pretty neat old truck, especially with its bright blue-and-yellow California license plate.
Bill had other caches to find along the lake shore, so, of course, the camera came out again. Doesn't matter how low the lake gets during fall and winter months, it's still mighty pretty.

On this Saturday morning, we're feeling very relieved that the ZAGS won their season opener against a very impressive Eastern Washington team last night.
It was a nail biter until the very end for us ZAGS fans, but Bulldogs pulled it off with their young squad, which hasn't exactly gelled yet.
Willie began his basketball coaching responsibilities yesterday with team tryouts.
They'll be working out again today.
He's coaching junior varsity again this year and looking forward to working with some outstanding athletes when the competitive season begins later this month.
Guess that's enough for this day.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday.
