Saturday Slight

Bill and I took a trip to Ronan, Mont. and Ravenwood Arabians yesterday to see the new little fella who will join the family Arabian herds when he's old enough to be weaned from his mom.

Twas a snowy day, to say the least, and our little one (the bay) and our friend Nancy's Miss Ellie (the red chestnut), were not too keen on performing the usual Arabian strut with heads and tails in the air.

After all, it was cold and those snowflakes were big and wet.

We didn't care.  They were still pretty cute, and the excitement of their eventual move to Sandpoint was intensified all the more, snowflakes and all.

Thanks to Jane and Jen for taking time out for our visit.  We really enjoyed seeing both horses and peeps at Ravenwood.

Enjoy the photos AND please note that I have included a link to the newest winter edition of Sandpoint Magazine, which hit the streets yesterday.

Click on the link and once you do a little clicking here and there, you can sit back and read the stories.  I really enjoyed my two assignments of "Natives and Newcomers" and the almanac featurette about Katie Sweeney, owner of Alpine Family Medicine on Lake Street in Sandpoint!

Bill and I also enjoyed spending part of a day in late summer hosting Sandpoint Magazine editor Trish Gannon who was featuring our Lovestead as a hobby farm.  Of course, she was nice enough to include some Border Collies in the photo mix.

Congratulations to Trish and all the writers and staff for a fine effort on this latest publication.  Lots of good reading.  So, enjoy!

I realized yesterday that I had jumped the gun on "GO, ZAGS," since their exhibition opener vs. College of Idaho is tonight, not yesterday.

With the time changes and the dramatic season change, one's brain gets a little muddled, so I'll try to get it right this morning:  GO, ZAGS.  Happy Saturday!
