These lovely ladies from Columbia Bank took the championship honors in the first round of bowling competition at yesterday's Hunger Bowl at Huckleberry Lanes in Sandpoint.
And, what adorable awards!
Twas a great way to spend a miserably wet and gloomy Saturday afternoon in Sandpoint.
And, the best part: the entry fees for each team and individual bowlers, along with a raffle for several donated packages of goodies brought in extra funds for the Bonner Community Food Bank.
The day included bowling, of course---some serious, some just plain not so good/thanks for showing up style (I fit the latter).
Along with flinging those big balls down the lanes, participants enjoyed some relaxing and fun visits.
I met and visited with a few new people and thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with others whom I had not seen in years.
Congratulations to Food Bank director Debbie Love, her staff and volunteers for organizing an entertaining, festive and delightful fundraiser.
It all leads to more food on the shelves at local food banks during the summer months.
A great activity for an important cause!
Happy Sunday.

A great friend to education, retired teacher Rush Balison from Priest River. So great to see you, Rush. |
