Saturday Slight

Not a lot of news so far on this Saturday morning.  I did meet a tree toad while taking what may be the last of the asparagus to the house.

This was a pretty laid-back little guy/girl.

Upon seeing the tiny creature attached to the top of the sliding glass door handle, I used my index finger and gently lifted it and moved it to the railing on the steps.

The frog did not seem to mind my intrusion and even cooperated quite nicely for a photo shoot after I had left the asparagus on the kitchen counter.

I've always felt an affinity with tree toads.  They're cute and not scary like other reptilian creatures, and they act like they don't mind humans.

So, this morning's interaction was pleasant and uneventful.

I'm sure if the tree toad were to add its two bits, the story may vary a bit.

The other news of the morning comes from the highest point in the United Kingdom where Annie has reached in the past hour.

As is customary with her travels around the world, after ascending Ben Nevis in Scotland, she pulled out her Sounders scarf.

This morning's lifting of the scarf symbolized her support of Seattle's home MLS team and (yay, Asa) Sweden's World Cup squad.

So, one more time our daughter has climbed a "highest mountain" and proclaimed her LOVE of the Sounders.

Here at the Lovestead, I do not believe we have anything scheduled today----a definite break in the routine of the past couple of weeks.

I must say, however, that it has been wonderful seeing and visiting with so many friends and family members.

Anyway, today we'll enjoy the relative quiet of watching flowers continue to bloom and garden stuff ripening while just hanging out on an uneventful Saturday.

Wonder how long the "uneventful"  will last!

Have a great day.
