Okay, we have yet another winter storm coming tonight.
It could drop as much as four inches in the valleys. With our luck, even more.
Who really cares????
We've got ZAGS!
What's happening in Vegas will cure our blues.
If all goes well, Lady ZAGS and Men's ZAGS will help us endure both today and tomorrow.
What's also nice is that the ZAGS happenings will NOT stay in Vegas.
They'll move on to March Madness, in both cases.
We're hoping they move on with their sterling records and into some good seeding for the NCAA Tournament.
Women play at high noon PDT today on the BYU channel (DirecTV 374 or 68, DISH 4369 or 9403).
Men play at 6 p.m. PDT on ESPN.
We always say the ZAGS help us through our winter.
So, if the amount of snow on the ground and that which is yet to come tonight are indicators, this groundhog report suggests that ZAGS will play through April 8 in another land of snow: Minneapolis.
I don't want to see snow last that long, but if it means ZAGS in the National Championship, we'll take it.
Then, spring can come!
We enjoyed yet another gorgeous day yesterday, which included intricate frost art in the morning and snow melt with water and mud in the afternoon.
Last evening, Liam had his first leg-washing session with the garden hose.
Lots more of that to come, I'm sure. Thankfully, Liam is very patient about his late afternoon bathing sessions.
All in all, I guess the only way to go about this late winter activity is "if you've got it, flaunt it."
So, that's what I'll keep doing with my camera, even though my mind is not very accepting of its tendency of lingering around far too long.
Among the photos from yesterday, you'll see a Bonner County history column from yesteday's paper.
Locals will probably recognize several names in the articles.
Bill read the segment about Capt. Brown to me while reading our morning paper which now arrives regularly mid afternoon.
On that subject, I saw the driver while walking down the road one day last week. He said he's doing two routes for the local paper cuz two carriers have quit our route.
So, hats off to him for putting in an extra-long day. His sacrifice is appreciated.
And, for anyone interested in delivering papers, check with the Daily Bee. There might just be an opening, and we'd love to get back to reading our morning paper in the morning.
We enjoyed learning what my big brother was doing 50 years ago, and I enjoyed seeing my classmate Dennis mentioned too.
Guess that's all for this morning. It's a day to get things done cuz twice we'll be doing the couch potato shift, cheering on Gonzaga men and women.
GO, ZAGS!!!
