Sandpoint of Yesteryear

Yep, Throwback Thursday was yesterday, but a friend loaned me the document yesterday.  So, we can extend the brief trips to memory lane just a bit today.

Bill and I both enjoyed looking over this booklet, published 111 years ago.

Our community of Sandpoint may have seen some significant changes over all those decades, but the common theme of promoting all the area's attributes for folks to consider relocating here hasn't changed much.

Plus, trains passing through the area are still a fixture, and that "new" 116-year-old railroad bridge across Lake Pend Oreille is getting a twin.

So, here's a (s)light detour from the usual.

BTW:  cigar stores in Sandpoint?  I don't think we have any in 2020.

Enjoy.

Happy Friday.
