Horses, dogs, a few cats and seven peeps will probably never forget Christmas Day, 2020, at the Lovestead and at Tibbs Arabians.
We've never celebrated quite like we did yesterday and more than likely never will again.
This morning, I'm thinking all of us have thawed out from the less-than-cozy conditions, but from start to finish, the two celebrations and gatherings were as heart-warming and fun as they come.
Not a lot more to say other than a thank you to family members for an upbeat, tasty, active and fun day.
The best Christmas gift ever was being together.
We may not have said that other years, but we have gained a new appreciation for each other, which I hope lasts forever.
We have also discovered that corn hole (ZAGS brand) of course, can keep the juices going when the body temperature begins to decrease.
At one time, someone said, "No Covid here---too cold to have a temperature!"
But, by golly, we had a blast getting introduced to corn hole and setting up rules unique to us as we flung those "corn" bags toward that hole.
Amazingly, we even hit the target several times---then we moved the stands further apart.
Truly a great Christmas Day 2020, and I'm feeling pretty confident that corn hole could be a staple in upcoming years.
On this day after Christmas, we have about five inches of new, somewhat powdery snow. Annie will be taking her new Burton snowboard boots, board and helmet up to Schweitzer today.
BTW: she bought the boots at Alpine Shop, partially because they had exactly what she wanted and also because the employees were wearing masks when she went into the store.
Good job and responsible approach to business, Alpine Shop!
Besides the new snow, we also have a big game today at 1 p.m. on CBS: Gonzaga vs. Virginia.
Should be fun, and it is great to see that besides being the best team in the country, the ZAGS enjoy that added dimension of good fun with the teams they play.
Hope you enjoy the photo illustrating Drew Timme's "stache" saga.
GO, ZAGS! Happy Saturday.
