Life Goes On

“I want people to remember how much I cared.

Being a Zag means being a great son, brother, a great friend.

I want people to remember me as someone who’s able to do those things as good or better than what I do on the floor.”

                                         - Corey Kispert

Enough said.

Wins are both wonderful and easy to embrace.

How we handle and learn from loss truly defines us.

Thirty-one times through the darkest times of this Pandemic year, their skills and finesse on the court, brightened our day, making us happy, hopeful and proud.

Then, came 32 where

their overall character made us prouder.

Thank you, ZAGS.

'Til next season.

Congratulations, Baylor.

Yes, with the last game of the college basketball season completed, we have entered brighter times.

Televisions defer to the great outdoors and the oncoming beauty of spring.

It's the much-to-do time of year with a lot of outdoor work topped off by recreation and admiration of the ever-changing gorgeous scenery.

Bill and Willie are headed off soon for a day of fishing.

I'll be running errands and finishing a farming project of sorts today.

Yesterday I hooked up the harrow to the back of the 4-wheeler and dragged the first pasture.

Horses had eaten their meals out there for the first few months of winter so the field was filled with horse apple mounds which needed to be separated and spread to allow more room for grass to grow.

Today, I'll hook up the harrow again and drag the barnyard.  That effort should smooth out the walking area and help dry out the mud.

Filling pots with soil and maybe some more transplanting is also on the agenda.

And, we're blessed with a gorgeous day to do our thing.

Sometime today, I'll also take my ZAGS apparel (including the Final Four T-shirt Bill bought me yesterday) to a closet where it will hang until November.

The 2020-'21 ZAG poster/wallpaper will remain as is tacked to the wall and in company with countless other ZAGS posters around the house.

ZAG time will come again.  For now, we are sad but proud and looking forward to the magic and the hope they are sure to bring us next season.

The ZAG blessing of everyday life goes on.

Happy Tuesday.
