Flourishing . . . .

Happy Mother's Day to all who take other beings under their wing(s) and forever show them love, caring, kindness, discipline, example and all that embodies the idea of motherhood.

First and foremost, I think of my mother, Virginia Tibbs, whom I miss deeply.

Her spirit continues to shine and guide.

Still, I'd get a kick out of spending a few minutes gabbing and giggling with her.

It has appeared to me in my wanderings so far this weekend that we are beginning to flourish again. It feels magnificent to see and visit with old friends and new.

There were plenty of both yesterday at the Farmers' Market in downtown Sandpoint and at the Parnell Clydesdale farm a couple of miles down the road from us.

The myriad of people connections was almost overwhelming in a most wonderful way, compared to what we've all experienced the past year.

There's a sense of giddiness in the air as people hug and laugh and spend time enjoying each other.

And, the beauty of spring certainly enhances the situation.

We are all so blessed to have reached this point of re-entry into living as we love it.

Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Robin Roberts appeared on the front page of the local paper yesterday in an article about how nice it is to have the Farmers' Market back.

She's been a regular there for years AND she's the lady who landscaped the Lovestead.

I enjoyed visiting with Harvey Brannigan and meeting his daughter Keely after Harvey took time to smell the flowers.

I met Paul Carrington for the first time.  He's originally from Australia.  He and his wife Jessica own Bread and Bones.

These are four of the six Mikat children, and do they ever know how to make muffins.

Plus, they're very engaging and fun while offering their muffins and micro greens produced at the family's urban farm in Sandpoint, known as Shire Farms.

I really enjoyed meeting and visiting with them, especially when I learned that two of them happen to know and appreciate Mr. Love at the high school.

It took me three looks to finally recognize Ken Babin with the beard.

Hair seems to have grown well during the Pandemic.

These guys from Deer Park were pretty macho on their honey, produced at Highland Honey Farm.

They put together a very attractive display of sweetness.

Great seeing Dick, Liz and Steve Neuder.

Dr. Neuder was nice enough to hold my new bird house while I snapped the pictures.

Bonnie Shields, the artist, and Jack Parnell, the writer, signed numerous books at the Selle Parnell Ranch yesterday.

Twas a festive scene for the signing with Clydesdales pulling a wagon loaded with people, people petting noses and attractive decorations and refreshments.

Ponderette smiles and visits with Jacque and Lori made my day.

A beautiful song, symbolizing the beauty of all moms.
