May the Fourth

It's May the Fourth.

AKA, the day Star Wars fans remind us "May the Force Be with You."

Seems appropriate with the fact that there are a couple of elections coming up two weeks from today, where local voters have the opportunity to be the "force."

On May 18, or if you vote absentee, let's give the nod to people who have demonstrated, through their professional knowledge and experience, that they have a genuine and proven record with the institution with which they intend to serve as a trustee.

Seems like the mask issue has been playing a major role in these campaigns.

Think for a moment:  how long will it be until the mask issue becomes a moot point in relationship to the real day-to-day, operations?

Obviously, medical personnel will always be wearing masks at the hospital when they work with patients, but the need for patrons who enter the hospital or the library may soon become a non-issue.

So, there's a lot more going on at both the library and at the hospital which deserves expertise in board of trustees guidance.

May the Force be with you today.  Remind your family and friends to participate in the May 18 election.

VOTE!
