Back to Somewhat Normal

After waiting for two or three hours past her departure time at Spokane Airport, Annie drew a nice plane for her flight back to Seattle.

Twas a Boise State University jet, perfect for a Boise State University graduate.

All three kids made it where they needed to go yesterday, safely too.

Willie rode on a team bus to Boise, leaving Sandpoint around 4:30 a.m.

Debbie drove a car to Boise, leaving a couple of hours later.

Annie waited in an airport, later flew in a plane and took an Uber.

When the day had ended, Ma and Pa could rest easily and smile that everything worked out for all involved.

And, to top it off, Willie's team of roundballers snatched a nice victory for their first game of a tournament held at Borah High School.

Today they play again at 3:30 PST, this time taking on Caldwell.

Maybe those long bus rides add to the appetite of winning.

On a side note, Debbie occasionally sits with Nita Schoonover at the home basketball games.

Well, who should she see in Boise but Nita's sister Frances and Frances' daughter Cathy.

Twas a nice surprise.

Frances was a regular at our Saturday morning coffee cults, which I attended for a few years. She has since moved to Lewiston.

Nice for those small-world moments.

Anyway, life is somewhat back to normal here at the Lovestead.  Foster has to rely on me to be his bestie, since Annie's gone.

Bill will be heading back to work this morning after taking Annie to the airport.

He usually works until the final seconds, so to speak, helping all those folks get their paperwork completed and submitted for forest tax exemptions.

Once that's done, our normal will be a relatively quiet January. Of course, that all depends on what Mother Nature has yet to dish out.

The past three days, however, have been Heaven with walkways staying open and dry snow meaning not much need to towel off wet dogs when they come back into the house.

The horses are packing down more open space in the barnyard, but I must say it will be nice when more daylight comes for taking the sled full of hay to distribute.

Lots of unseen holes and frozen clods of snow require very careful steps.

Today's main mission for me is to take my old laptop to Staples to have all its data transferred to a new laptop.

I think Bill listened to enough %$^^%!! spewing from my lips during the Ireland trip every time the computer would die on me that he found a way to keep things quieter in the future.

It should be a nice change and a little lighter item to carry in my backpack when we travel.

Looking like another frigid beauty out there today. So far so good with the cold weather.

Happy Wednesday.

Coach Love may have been tired from the long bus trip to Boise, but he was obviously happy with how his team performed last night, defeating Kuna 43-30.

Willie, assistant coaches and the SHS girls basketball squad, we are proud of you!
