We've already fixed something very vital to our household this morning---the TV, more specifically the remote.
A tech from DISH TV talked us through a problem we've been experiencing involving our remote.
Happily, just a few simple steps directed to us over the phone took care of the problem.
For the past several days, the TV sound would go off while we were switching channels. Sometimes we could not regulate the volume.
Sometimes we could not turn the TV off without unplugging it.
The situation continued to worsen each day.
We asked what would cause this problem with the remote and she said very possibly interference from other electrical equipment near the remote.
We guessed that could be our cell phones.
Anywho, we hope everything will be working smoothly again because there's a ZAGS game today at 2 p.m. PST.
They're playing North Alabama on ROOT Sports or KHQ-TV.
Unfortunately, Bill and Annie won't be watching at home but maybe streaming in the car on their way to the airport.
Annie is leaving today and flying back to Seattle. We'll miss her, but she's got a schedule to keep, which includes going south for New Year's. No shoveling there.
Willie left early this morning (about 4:15) to board a bus bound for Boise. His girls basketball team is participating in a tournament, beginning tonight and running through Thursday.
Debbie will be joining them after her drive to Boise.
Meanwhile, yesterday our horses had a young visitor.
Harper, who's visiting with her grandparents next door, came over with apples for the horses.
Boss Lily did what Lily always does and herded the others off while she enjoyed several juicy bites.
Harper is a horse lover, and she seemed to enjoy pouring grain into the buckets in each horse's stall.
The only other highlight of the day, which was intended to be low key, involved taking a drive to town to get some salt for the horses' buckets.
In this cold weather, it's important that they drink enough water, and the salt helps see to that.
Other than that little chore, I enjoyed a fairly relaxing day, staying warm, watching a little TV, griping at the remote.
My major goal was to embrace the post-Christmas mode described in a post by my Facebook friend Eileen from Dublin.
It's what we're supposed to do.
So I'm going to try my best to remember to do a good job of it.
Happy Tuesday.
Stay warm.
GO, ZAGS!
