It's to be expected.
"Nutten Much" days come along in January, and this Friday seems to be one for me.
There's just nutten much to share that hasn't already been shared numerous times before.
So, I'm not even going to try.
Good ol' January never disappoints. It always comes as advertised.
And, of course, this year, we're once again in the midst of a Covid surge.
The best part about these Covid surges is that they'll wane, and then we'll start feeling optimistic until another version/strain pops up.
Who, among my generation, would have ever thunk something like this would dominate our "golden years" for two years, and, who knows, maybe three.
Oh, have I mentioned we received a little more snow yesterday? The mushy, gushy stuff eventually turned into rain and finally that storm went on its way.
This morning, with all that wet on snow from yesterday, is definitely a Yak Trax day outside.
Bill has gone off for an early-morning eye appointment.
The only real news for me is that I now have three new story assignments, and, of course, I'm not going to spill any beans on those.
Fun subjects, though.
As I said to my editor, the assignments should provide a good antidote to January.
We have reached that annual point where January days seem pretty stale. I've heard this same observation from friends.
The good news is that we are two thirds through the month, and soon we'll be so busy, we'll be yearning for some blah time.
That's a while off, though.
For now, we trudge through, one day at a time.
Thank God for fun doggies, squirrels and pretty birds.
Happy Friday.
Never forget a face?
I ran across this article this morning and had never realized that there's a career for folks who never forget faces.
Enjoy.
