Saturday Slight

                                                 --Debbie Love Photo

Let's see:  what was the best part of yesterday?

Lots to choose from, including:

sunshine

warmth

a whole lot less snow and a lot more evolving shades of green

my first crocus blooming

fun visit with friends at the bank

completing a newly painted section of front yard fence

Bridie adjusting quickly and totally enjoying herself outside attached to a cable, allowing her moving room and keeping her safe

Receiving Bridie's bloodlines and learning that all of her ancestors on her dad's side hail from England, Scotland and Wales.

Seeing a picture of her daddy:  what a beautiful dog!

Texting back and forth with Debbie and Bill from the women's NCAA tournament in Spokane where there WAS a Russell Wilson sighting.

Russell's sister plays for 2021 National Champion Stanford, and he attends her games.

Watching the Peacocks skillfully and valiantly knock down another top ranked NCAA team---first time ever a 15 seed has moved on to the Elite Eight.

On National Peacock Day, no less. I'm wondering if someone just made that up.

St. Peters' victory renewed my enthusiasm for the men's tournament.  As Bill texted, "Well, at least one Jesuit team is moving on."

Sipping on a Frosty and enjoying a night with my sisters.  That was pretty tasty and really fun.

Twas a good day in so many ways, so every item listed above is equally important.

Much of this renewed enthusiasm for life in general comes because life in general is coming back alive all around us.

Spring vigor: it's the best.

Today looks like another day like yesterday.  I'm so thrilled for my oldest brother and his wife who will begin their journey this weekend to Spain and Portugal.

They've been travelers all through their marriage, having lived around the world, and for them to finally get back into what they love after more than two years----that's pretty dang neat.

Bon voyage and safe travels, Mike and Mary.  Can't wait to see the photos.

We'll sit down today and hopefully repeat the process of securing our mode of travel to Ireland in June.

Also, some great news for future of the community in this morning's paper, which you can read about in the link below.

Nickels, dimes and dollars will add up in this Kaniksu Land Trust endeavor, so, if you like what you read, donate as much as you can.

That's all.  Can't wait to get outside and enjoy another productive day. So good for the soul.

Happy Saturday.

GO, PEACOCKS!
