The dogs are loving the new snow.
This morning when I took Bridie out for her morning duty, she leaped and raced and wiggled around me with her big Border Collie smile.
This latest accumulation is not bad snow cuz it's powdery and distributed in various depths. Some areas have none while others have several inches of new snow.
It's definitely cold out. I removed a glove long enough to take a picture and my little pinky quickly went numb.
Bill and I enjoyed our day yesterday because the wind and snow gave us an excuse to stay inside and tend to writing projects.
The dogs also didn't mind spending most of their day in the cozy house.
I like a blizzard when it comes at the end of winter and/or when it doesn't create hours and hours of outdoor work. This one fits that requirement.
I also like the cleansing nature of this storm. Most of the ugly, worn-out snow has received a pleasing new look with the white powder.
Plus, the emerging set of abundant winter dog logs has been hidden for a while longer.
So, even though it's cold, the outdoors is once again pretty.

My friend Connie from Hope has been working on her early garden projects.
Check out her latest blog post.

Twas neat to read this tweet this morning from Ryan Scaggs:
All the Love for Coach Love and this team.
What an amazing run.
Quietly lurking in the shadow of a 5A juggernaut’s run, this battle tested team shone when the lights were brightest proving their place at the top.
Coach Love is one of the best in the state and it’s hard to argue.

I could not resist sharing this clever jigsaw puzzle. I don't know if anyone, even adamant dog lovers, could dedicate themselves to putting these pieces together, but it's hilarious. |
The view out the bathroom window is rather splendid this morning.
Schweitzer is all bright and shiny with its new layer of snow.
Bet skiers are thrilled to have the improved conditions and an extension to the season.
AND, the pathway to the dog run is filled in with white powder, giving me a respite from seeing all those leaves which will need to be cleaned up once the snow leaves.
The oak tree is now bare down to its lower leaves, so does that mean spring isn't TOO far off?
Happy Wednesday. Stay warm.
