I love a toasty house when the temperature is ZERO.
Our little wood stove keeps us warm and cozy when it's brutally cold outside.
Bill works throughout the year with his chainsaw to keep adding to the wood pile. It's work he enjoys but it's also rewarding when we can enjoy the indoor comforts it creates.
Our deep freeze continues today, as it apparently is doing throughout much of the country. We should see an end to the extreme cold by Sunday.
For now, it's just keep putting those logs on the fire.
I'm sure that Annie will appreciate a warm house when she arrives for a visit tonight.
She just spent several days down South in Alabama and surrounding states on some geocaching adventures and events. So, she will notice a definite weather contrast.
I've told Foster that he's going to have a good day today but have not told him why.
We can't even say Annie's name without the little guy getting hyper-excited and racing to the door, thinking she's there. So, we spell her name when we talk about her upcoming visits.
I noticed yesterday that the dogs were happier than ever to return to the house. Those little pads on their feet get cold really fast in these conditions.
Still, they love the time they spend outside.
And, I'm gonna love all the time I can spend inside during this cold spell.
Bill gave the snow blower a quick workout yesterday, smoothing out walking areas down the lane and around the buildings.
It's GAME DAY for the ZAGS.
They'll be playing late tonight in the Kennel.
Gonzaga vs San Diego
8 p.m. PST on ESPN.
Just three more regular-season games, including the big ZAGS--St. Mary's Gaels rematch in the Kennel Saturday, which has inspired ESPN2 to hold its Game Day in Spokane.
GO, ZAGS !!!
