Game Week, Etc.

I took these two pictures this morning because I could.

What a great feeling to leave the barn after chores and see real daylight!

And, a few minutes later to take pictures of morning light.

We are getting there, and it feels good.

Can't wait to shed the head lamp and do my morning chores in natural daylight.

Plus, seeing the sun helps.

Endorphins are arriving and more to come.

Yay!

Today is another GAME DAY in a week filled with sporting events.

Yesterday's GAME DAY at Sandpoint High School was successful for Willie's girls varsity.

Twas a tight game with the lead changing occasionally, but when the final buzzer sounded, the Bulldogs could enjoy victorious group hugs.

Last night's game was the first in a series that could go to three.

But we're all hoping for two.

Tomorrow night, the Bulldogs will again face Lakeland in a best 2 out of 3 league play-off for a berth in the Idaho Girls State Basketball championship next week.

So far, the Bulldogs (now 16-5 for their season) have a perfect record in league and play-offs. Let's hope they can maintain that tomorrow night and move on to State.

Tip off is at 7 p.m. at Les Rogers Gym.

GO, BULLDOGS

Assistant Coach Madi Schoenberg gives some pointers during a time out.

There was crowd spirit and then there was Spirit at last night's game.

This "Spirit" added a little color to the play-off game.

Dean Miller works with Debbie at the Food Bank. He joined the Love family for last night's game.

Brothers Dale and Gary VanHorn are staples at Bulldog sporting events.

They rarely miss a high school athletic contest, and they love every minute.

Endorphin weather was upon us yesterday.

I even spent some time raking leaves in areas where the snow has gone.

It was a lovely day.

In the "What's This?" department, yesterday my friend Connie was helping me out with suggestions of equipment which could make my life easier with a sore back.

For picking up dimes and socks and pretty much anything that has fallen to the floor, there is the "picker."

Of course, when she sent me the picture and said she has multiple pickers, I asked facetiously if it would put my socks on for me.

Well, by golly, Connie had an answer for that.  She sent me a link to SockAid.

It's only $15 for this deluxe sock aid aka socks helper with foam handles.

Fortunately, the back pain had subsided enough this morning for me to put on my socks, but I'm certainly going to keep this item in mind.

There's a whole new world of inventory out there for us oldsters to consider.

Thank you, Connie.

Tonight the ZAGS face another tough WCC opponent  when they play San Francisco in the Kennel.

Let's hope for a rebound from their tough loss against St. Mary's last weekend.

BTW:  last week was a tough one for NCAA men's Top 25 teams.  I think there were 16 losses among them.

So, it's fairly obvious that the field is pretty open for any of these teams to go on a roll.

Let's hope Gonzaga is one of them.

Tip-off is at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Channel 158.

GO, ZAGS!
