Tuesday Streaming

Usually I'm stopping my car to snap a picture of the pretty horses grazing on my neighbor Elton's property.

Yesterday, however, the horses had lost their billing as the main attraction.

The two lovelies pictured above had added some nice variety and a touch of elegance to the usual occupants of the roadside pasture.

It's that time of year where we're likely to see some nice surprises in the fields out here in the country.

On my late afternoon drive, I also saw my friend and classmate Mike Rosenberger doing some yard work with his beloved tractor. So, I stopped in, and we enjoyed a good visit.

Mike has purchased a beautiful little farm in Samuels, and, as one who takes great pride in maintaining an attractive home setting, he's making a few changes and adding his personal touch to the place.

It will be fun to see the place when his changes are complete.

Speaking of new places to live, I want to wish my blog editor Helen and her hubby Skip the happiest of times as they close one chapter today and begin another.

When Helen told me a few weeks ago that they were moving, she quickly punctuated the news with, "We're staying in Sandpoint."

Today marks the last day of their decades-long residence their beautiful home in South Sandpoint.  They'll be moving to another beautiful home with more acreage and an abundance of outdoor nature to enjoy.

To say that Helen has been giddy of late is an understatement.  I haven't talked to Skip but suspect he's just about the same with all the new yard and gardening opportunities.

Best of luck and much happiness to you, dear friends.

I'm pretty sure Art is smiling because he knows you are doing exactly as he wished in honoring his life and long friendship.

Bill and I will make it over one of these days to check out the new digs.

On another note, Bill and I are just a bit giddy about an overnight stop we'll be making on our Ireland adventure this fall.

We're taking a reverse route from our usual, and we'll be experiencing a few new accommodations.

The spot we selected for a one-night stay is a beautiful farmhouse bed and breakfast on the West Coast of Ireland in County Mayo.

And, I love the proprietor's name:  Seamus Maheady.

After making the reservation yesterday, I discovered that Killala is just a few minutes away from Billina where President Biden recently visited with his many Irish relatives.

You can bet we'll be checking out Billina.

This will add a nice new touch to a trip we would happily take once or even twice a year.

In other news, I want to send a high five and a big pat on the back to State Representative Mark Sauter.  He has earned my stamp of approval and continued support as an Idaho State Legislator.

Sometimes low marks for one's performance are a great thing. Keep up the good work of representing the people, Mark.

We support you more than ever after this report card.

Bill has already headed off for the day, and I have a long list of "to do's" on my agenda.  Plus, I can't wait to get outside and enjoy the nice spring day ahead.

As you can see, splendor is upon us here in the Selle Valley.

So, Happy Tuesday.
