I'll dedicate this photo, taken this morning, to Annie.
It's the second bloom on the rose she gave me (selected by Willie and Debbie) for Mother's Day, and it is exquisite, to say the least.
I'm sure anyone in the Northwest will tell you that the flower blooming show has been incredible this year.
And, it just keeps getting better.
In other news, no Triple Crown this year. My sisters and I watched The Preakness yesterday. All kinds of excitement for Mage and then the anticlimatic "oh well," as the race ended.
Next year, maybe.
And, with that, I'll close, wishing everyone a Happy Sunday. Enjoy the good stuff below, compliments of Willie and Annie Love.
Debbie Love has been documenting the Grinnell experience and doing a mighty fine job!
Thanks, Debbie.
Willie is receiving an honorary degree from Grinnell College in Iowa because of letter written by a former student who graduated from Sandpoint High School.
Tara Rawlings, who will be graduating tomorrow and who has already implemented her educational training as a substitute teacher for the Grinnell-Newburg School District.
Tara wrote about how Mr. Love had influenced her as a mentor. Apparently, her thoughts about him convinced the powers-that-be to select Willie as one of this year's doctoral honorees.
Congratulations to Tara and to Willie.
You're from Sandpoint, and we couldn't be any prouder!!!!

Tomorrow's Commencement will be live-streamed, beginning at 10 a.m. Central time through the following link.

Almost there.
Annie has a couple more days of walking before reaching Santiago de Compostela.
"The Way" seems to be improving despite the physical obstacles she has dealt with through the walk.
