"Seen's" on a Sunny Day

It was Passholders' Appreciation Day at Schweitzer yesterday.

The event provided a great opportunity for a silent auction fundraiser benefitting the Bonner Community Food Bank.

It also inspired many scenes of folks, young and old, mostly enjoying the sunny day at the mountain by skiing, sipping and snoozing, etc.

Dogs had a good time too.

When we passed by the two youngsters below, we figured the word "enjoy" may not have been in their vocabulary at that very moment as they each tugged for control of a rope pulling a sled.

Annie and I went to Schweitzer and joined Debbie and her Food Bank crew who were on hand to promote silent auction.

When the day ended, more than $10,000 had been promised through auction bids.

When it was time to leave the mountain, some Food Bank staff missed the bus, so they stuffed themselves into the Subaru for a ride to their cars.

It was a gorgeous day from start to finish, and we all made the most of the prime time in the April sun. I managed to brush a whole lot of excess hair from my horses.

Annie, Bill and the dogs went north to place a geocache.

We all got together and headed for Hope to enjoy the views and some Ice House Pizza.

Since today is suppose to match yesterday weather-wise, I'm sure we won't let much grass grow under our feet.  In fact, I may just mow some to make sure that doesn't happen.

Enjoying the heavenly days cuz we know that soon the mosquitoes and other bugs are coming as are all those pollens that cause problems for so many.

This is just about the most desirable time of year, 'cept maybe for fall.

So, we're going to enjoy it.

Happy Sunday.

A rare Love family photo taken at Hope last evening.
