These characters put on a "liberty" show last night as they discovered my presence and bolted off from grazing in the hay field.
I didn't mind their escape because it made for some fun photos.
Jennifer Bair Wood never lets the St. Paddy's followers down.
Her offerings yesterday at Homewood Farm Stand on Shingle Mill Road included fresh-baked Irish soda bread and Guinness brownies, along with cartons of home-grown eggs.
All passed inspection here at the Lovestead.
Thanks, Jennifer, for adding to the festivities of the day.

Great graphic showing us stations, times and teams playing in March Madness the first two days this week.
I have one bracket filled out for ESPN and another for CBS Sports.
Still, work to do in the March Madness guessing game.
My 'maters are about ready to be transplanted to larger containers.
All are looking good so far.
The barn has served as a storage shed this winter, housing all three lawnmowers and the pull-behind-utility wagon.
Yesterday served as battery-charging day. Two of the three would not start up.
I wasn't planning to mow lawn but do need to get them out of the barn before the horses come home in a few weeks.
So, one has been charged up and moved to the lean-to next to the shop. Hopefully, this morning, the Craftsman battery will be alive. If so, I can move all the lawn equipment to the lean to.
Yesterday I also fixed electric fence around the barnyard. So, when the horses do arrive home, they'll not eat the boards.
Slowly but surely, as the snow melts, the place is generally ready for spring and a whole lot more outdoor activity.
Happy Tuesday.
Soon we'll have green green grass of home.
Enjoy.
