ZAGS: All's Well That Ends Well, Oh MY

The ZAGS won the WCC Tournament Championship.

For every player, coach and ZAGS fan, last night had to be cathartic and joyous, of course.

Coach Mark Few has said publicly that this has been a hard season.

ZAGS doubters have had a heyday, jumping to the keyboards to pontificate after every close loss.  And, yes, this year was not the usual three or four losses.

  Double the latter.

As a diehard fan, I've felt the pain like so many others.

But diehards don't give up, nor do the ZAGS players and coaches.

And, by golly, last night we were all served visually delectable and sumptuous helping of ZAGS playing with flair and purpose like the ZAGS we all love so much.

Then came the frosting on the cake.  Would this be another close game?

Would the ZAGS go home hanging their heads once again after a heart-breaking 1 or 2-point loss.

Not in the cards when you're in Las Vegas!

This time the ball bounced Gonzaga's way throughout the entire game, and, oh how sweet it was to yell out "YES!"  time after time and clap really loud and hard enough times to almost break a blood vessel.

The victory felt so good here at the Lovestead and at my next door neighbor's and at good friends' houses and at my sisters' and at households or venues across the world.

The ZAGS had arrived back in style just in time, and with that timing came a "third time's a charm" much-sought-after win over WCC league champion Saint Mary's.

Why not have these two great teams share in the glory!  So, that's what happened:  Gonzaga Bulldogs won the WCC Tournament Championship last night in fine style.

It was time!

So happy for the team, the coaches and all of us forever ZAGS fans that all ended so well.

The rest of their games when they get into the NCAA tournament of March Madness will be just fine.

I think they'll do very well.  In fact, I'm so confident that I'll throw out a little Lovestead betting.

The ZAGS will make it to at least the Elite Eight.

Congratulations, team and coaches.  We are proud of you.

GO, ZAGS!!!  GO have fun at the Dance.

We could say "All's Well that ends well" twice yesterday after Garrett from Oden Water came with his excavator.

Garrett had listened to our frost free hydrant, and after doing so, expressed concern that our leak over the past three months might not be coming from the hydrant.

That thought raised a range of possibilities and fears that he might be digging and digging to find the source of the leak.

Well, we were glad that Garrett was wrong about his ear test on the frost-free hydrant.

After digging down with the machine and doing some shoveling, he observed water spitting from a lower level of the hydrant.

So, Bill drove to Co-Op, bought a new hydrant and within a couple of hours, Garrett was headed home with his equipment.

We do have a muddy mess around the hydrant, but that's okay because the leak was discovered and no longer is an issue, especially with the water bill.

Thank you, Garrett.  Bill remarked about how careful you were to keep the mess to a minimum.

In not so joyous news, I saw this item on the front page of today's Daily Bee.

Someone whom I know really well in this household suggested that Idaho's special ed parents should get vouchers so their children can attend the private school.

🏫🏫🏫🏫🏫🏫

I noticed the story below because of knowing the mother of one of the students who is in this classroom. The mom grew up in Sandpoint.

I really don't know how I would react as a teacher if someone told me to take the banner down in my classroom.

More than likely, I would probably not be very cooperative.

The times they are a-changing, and it's probably best that I'm retired.

Aren't there bigger problems to solve than this?

Happy Wednesday on this rainy day.
