Hello, August. Already????

It's Friday.

It's August.

It's warm.

Annie's home for the weekend.

Early-morning turkey deportation has already occurred for the day.

Good dog, Bridie.

And, you did your job gently, humanely and without hiding your face by wearing a mask.

Principled dog.

By 7 a.m. I had already dabbed on some Arnica gel.

CB shied at the electric fence tape while walking beside me to the lane and clipped me on the side of the foot with his hard hoof.

I think that bone on the side of the foot might be related to the crazy bone on our elbow cuz it sure did hurt.

I said bad words, but . . .

. . .I'm still walking.

About 36 drops of rain fell while I was watering the veggies and flowers this morning.

If those raindrops were meant to intimidate me into putting the hose away, they didn't.

I kept on watering.

Anyway, we're starting a new month, and it sure did come along faster than usual.

I've been told that happens more each year as we age.

Time flies.

Yesterday, I picked raspberries, blueberries, Sungold tomatoes and a bunch of green beans.

In the blueberry department, just two of the bushes netted nearly half a gallon of berries.

So, I have more to pick today.

I see from the news that the stock market is tariff tanking again today.

Must be nice to be at the controls and pull strings every time you want to get even with a whole bunch of people here in the United States and in other countries.

Then, you get to become the hero because you renege on what you did this morning and by afternoon make everything look good until the next time you feel the urge for revenge.

On a positive note, we're set to have some family fun this weekend.

Stay tuned.

For now, enjoy this first Friday of the last real month of summer, and stay cool.

Happy Friday.

This is one of my pumpkins on Aug. 1.

It's about three inches long.

I can't wait to pictorially record its growth as the days go by.

Pumpkins have a way of growing really big, really fast.
