Annie's home.
A 3-day horse show is starting at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.
My niece Laura is coming this afternoon.
While horses are being shown at the fairgrounds, two of the Lovestead horses will be taking Annie and Laura for an afternoon ride here at home.
A busy day ahead, for sure.
I'll be going to the fairgrounds soon with my camera. Three siblings are over there. Two will be riding horses, while one will be helping with trail obstacles, etc.
That would be Barbara, Laurie and Kevin.
So, when I arrive, four family siblings will be there.
Last year five of the six of us (Mike, Kevin, Barbara, Laurie and Jim) attended the show. I missed it because Bill and I were flying to Ireland and then on to Spain.
Whatever the case, it's a day with lots of family stuff and definitely a horse or two.
Anyone who loves horses is invited to drop in at the fairgrounds, throughout the day and even tonight and tomorrow night.
It should be a fun show.
I snapped a few photos yesterday while the show infrastructure was being set up and while horses were arriving at the fairgrounds.
Hope you enjoy.
Also, as usual, I'll promote this blog post on Facebook, and with that promotion will add a few photos of horse show action throughout the day, so check that out occasionally if you're also on Facebook.
Happy Friday.
Enjoy the photos while I enjoy family, friends, taking more photos and horses!
Caylijo will be riding Barbara's Dusty at the show. She's a senior at Sandpoint High School and very involved in 4-H and horse activities.
Laurie told me last night that our dad gave her these spurs.
I think the electric tape on the actual rowel adds some cushion from the poke in the ribs.
This morning's segment of the show includes trail classes.
