Megan McCormick on CBS

Alright . . . enough waiting, this Saturday morning I'll be playing on the "CBS Early Show." I'm on my way to NYC in the morning and can't hardly wait :)

                                                --Megan McCormick on a recent Facebook post

More from Megan . . . .

It will air nationwide so find the time and CBS affiliate in your town.

I'm taken back by everything that has come about surrounding the release of the album (check out some of the press quotes below!!!). I'm so excited I hardly know what to do.

Thank you so much for being a part of this wonderful journey. Like I keep saying, every little thing that you do to spread the word = major support . . .and that's why I'm here. For that I am extremely grateful.

I have a little plan in the works that I wanted to talk to you about. I'm ready to do a series of house concerts. Over the past six months, I've done quite a few, and I always have a blast.

So, if you would like to host one of these fabulous, intimate, community-driven events, please let me know.

Keep in mind it can be anywhere from 20-100 people, and in YOUR town, wherever that may be . . . each one will be unique and special. If you're curious at all or have questions, just reply to this email and we can get to talkin' :)

Lastly, I can't wait for Saturday's TV performance, and the speedy trip home to play Nashville Sunday Nights LIVE from 3rd and Lindsley. If you can't be there, you can certainly tune in online at www.lightning100.com and click Listen LIVE.

Lots of love and cheers,

Megan

P.S. Don't tell me you don't have a copy of "Honest Words" yet! If you don't, it's not too late!

Reviews:

"Just 23, the Nashville singer/songwriter sounds as if she's lived a life and a half on her potent Honest Words album."  — USA Today, USA Today

"Whether it was your divine grace or not, someone is responsible for her near-perfect debut disc. From the achingly tender ballads to the bristling blues jams, this girl can flat out play. Songs like "Oh My Love," and "Lonely Tonight," come along so rarely it feels criminal to see her continue to stay so far removed from the limelight."  — Gregory Robson, Absolute Punk

"Cross Sheryl Crow with Bonnie Raitt and you get Honest Words, a bluesy lovelorn showcase for singer songwriter Megan McCormick's bright alto and growly guitar."  — Oprah Magazine, Oprah Magazine

~~~~~
I think Megan's words on her Facebook pages and the reviews speak for themselves. Spread the word, and if you have a chance to watch her perform Saturday, do so.
Again, she has Sandpoint roots and dozens of relatives here in the area, including proud grandparents, Dale and Mae McCormick and her dad Todd and her Aunt Julie Knox.
Congratulations to Megan and to all her family and friends.
Let's help Megan continue her magnificent musical journey.
Spread the word.  Buy the CD.
Who was her English teacher at SHS?
FYI, Anonymous,
She did not attend SHS.
And, I would hope you, whoever you are, could get past the negativity and concentrate on the positive.
