Saturday Slight

Another beautiful morning with a busy day ahead.  Bill now has his new GMC Sierra pickup and must go to town this morning to get the license plate attached.

Pat, our salesman,  was having trouble attaching the plate late yesterday afternoon after the official hand shake, signifying a deal had been struck. So, he said to come back today, and they'd finish off that last task.

We invited Laurie to join us for dinner last night, since our respective Friday-night folks are in Seattle.  As always, we enjoyed good visiting and delicious dinners at the Blue Heron Cafe at Samuels.

Bill told me he would help me finish off constructing the garden fence today.  Before that, however, I have a meeting in town with an insurance agent to seal the deal on a supplemental policy for my Medicare.

By the time the sun goes down this afternoon (love to think of the sun being here and watching it go down), the garden fence should be completed, and I can move on to other projects.

Lawn mowing every few days will soon dominate the schedule, so it's important to get ahead on the other spring projects.

If all goes well, the horses may just get some attention today.  Maybe even, I might climb aboard Lily and take her for a little ride.

She has to have shoes before we go too far, so calling John Fuller will be on the "to do" list in the next week or two.

Not a lot else on my mind this morning, except to get at it and make the most of this beautiful day.

Happy Saturday.
