Tomorrow

No matter how much strategizing, cheating or other negative energy is employed to knock us off our respective positive pedestals, one comforting constant remains, reminding us that things will and can get better.

There's always tomorrow.

And, if we cast aside that which weights us down and think about tomorrow, there's a pretty good possibility that things will get better

AND

the sun will come out and shine upon us and maybe even upon some of our hopes and dreams.

Pretty bleak day yesterday for lots of basketball fans across the nation and maybe even for folks looking for sunnier days to shine upon our American scene.

When it comes down to it, though, we must let all that stuff go.

These are times when we must turn toward the little victories or bright moments that make our days each and every day:  friends, family, young, skinny tomato plants leaning toward the light, snow melting, fewer dog poops along our walking paths and even tasty brownies during a Saturday-night ZAGfest.

All good. All helpful in wiping away our bigger disappointments.

So, yes, this morning, it's the day after a tough ZAGS loss, also a rare day for me of sleeping an 1.5 hours past my usual wake-up time, and it's a gray day.

Happily, though, there's tomorrow and many more smiles to come as we move one day closer to spring.

Tomorrow

Lyrics by Alicia Morgan

The sun will come out tomorrow

Bet your bottom dollar
that tomorrow there'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs
And the sorrow
'Till there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's grey
And lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin
And say
Oh!
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow

So ya gotta hang on
"Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow!
You're always
A day
Away!

When stuck with a day
That's grey
And lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin
And say
Oh!
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow

So, ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may

Tomorrow, Tomorrow!
I love ya tomorrow
You're always
A day
Away!
