Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday ðŸŽµðŸŽµðŸŽˆ
Oh, it was a "yesterday" to remember in so many ways.
Visiting with my sister-in-law on the deck in Colburn.
Hanging with dogs.
Watching a baseball game which made a little history:  Seattle Mariners are moving on in the play-offs after a phenomenal come-from-behind (8-1) win (10-9) over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Seeing a photo of my cousin just before he boarded a plane for the 15-hour flight from Washington, D.C. to South Africa, where he'll resume his service with the Peace Corps.
Going to a birthday party where the guest of honor, Lenny, turned almost 64.  Actually, his birthday was not yesterday, but his party was.
When the clock struck midnight on a stunning moonlit night, Lenny officially turned 64.
What a gathering with so many wonderful faces of yesterday!
Many former students; others longtime Sandpoint folks.
What great fun from start to finish as Beatlemania sounds from the deejays, walls at MickDuff's Beer Hall adorned with Beatles memories, assorted eats like Yellow submarine sandwiches and musically themed cupcakes.
Walks on Abbey Road and a whole lot of Memory Lanes.
Lots of smiles, lots of hugs and a true sense that the troubles of the world seemed so far away.
Could we please have more "Yesterday's."
Thanks to all who created this meaningful and fun moment in time.
Imagine IF we could have more yesterday's.
Happy 64th, Lenny.

Now, Mr. Kenny's yesterday may have been slightly traumatic, but the troubles ended quickly. |

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today, I
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world.
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world.
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
