A Little Bit of Family Pride, Etc.

THIS is really hot off the press:

Laurie has just won a full-fledged NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP today (Wednesday) at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals.

She sent me a note at 7:12 a.m. with the results of Class 3220-Half Arabian Amateur Owner to Ridge Western Dressage Level 1 ATR.

She took first in a class of eleven contestants from around the nation.

Photos of Laurie and Pache and their awards at 5 p.m. today and, of course, we'll post those tomorrow.

Unbelievable!!

Look below for how she did yesterday in Ohio.

The photo below is from a few years ago. I don't have a current photo.

***UPDATE***

Kevin's Photo from tonight (below).

🎉🎉🎉Laurie and Pache just won the Western Dressage Hack Exhibition Class at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals in Wellington, Ohio.

They topped a class of 17.

Kevin reported that Pache floated over the arena floor as only Pache can do.

Earlier today they took a Top Ten (6th) in a large(22) of class of Half-Arabian Western Dressage Basic Open class. 🎉🎉🎉

🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

She's from Sandpoint, and we couldn't be any prouder!

This means that, in her three classes so far, she has won two first places and one sixth place (Top Ten).  She has two more classes to go.

The diamonds are glittering for Laurie, Kevin and Pache in Wellington, for sure.

In the first photo below are Spanish cows that Annie passed on The Way today in Spain.

Can ya tell we all love cows???

Annie said her blog would be late today because she decided to walk a few more miles.

So, check on it later.

I think she's having a better day today, which means her mom is too.

Below:  New York, honoring the memory of those lost in 9-11.

We never forget.

Let us, in memory of all who were lost that day, remember to honor each other by working to diminish the divisions within this country.

I'll never forget the unity of America after that day.

It was a beautiful thing.

Let's bring that spirit back.
