It's a Wash. Thank Goodness!

And, then it rained! Hallelujah!

Thankfully, those heavenly raindrops came after a day filled with fun and good food and mini milestones.

We celebrated in several ways yesterday.  Debbie is celebrating behind the wheel of her new car, another Subaru purchased Saturday.  So, it's safe to say the Love's love Subarus----three of them now.

My sisters, Willie, Debbie and Emma were also celebrating last night, knowing that they would go home to running water after two days of minimal drips at the taps.

A major break in the Colburn water system kept workers busy throughout the weekend, trying to get the water back up and running.

The Lovestead dogs celebrated International Dog Day.  Well, heck, they celebrate every day, but at least they had a label to add to the usual fun they have pretty much all day long.

It was NOT International Saddle Eating Day, but no one told CB.  He gave both Terra and Lefty fits during the saddling up phase, leading to Terra's enjoyable adventure atop Lefty all around the place.

Lefty actually followed Terra's mom and me and later Emma and me in the UTV.  We figured that breaking the way through the trails in the woods would spook out any deer lurking and wanting to spook Lefty.

Plus, it was just fun riding around in the 4-wheeler.

We also opened the gate to the hay field for more riding space, so it was a great time for 4-wheelers and the trail horse with his happy rider.

Bill always celebrates whenever he takes a walk to his woods where lush green grass and tidy wood piles abound.

Wish we had better fencing cuz some cows would be in heaven grazing there this time of year.

We also celebrated Emma with one of several celebrations she's enjoyed this week.  I told her that she might as well enjoy every minute of being a star because she'll be working into a routine with school work soon enough.

Emma seems to take stardom and all those new faces she's met this week in her stride. So, I think she'll do okay.

She also has earned her badge, representing one of the requirements for living in Sandpoint-----tasting and enjoying pizzas from Second Avenue.

Yup, after Terra put Lefty up, we had a pizza feed last night with her parents, my sisters, the Young Love's and Emma.  It was great fun visiting and good eats topped off by huckleberry sundae's.

As folks headed out the door to go home, the raindrops had begun.  They've been falling all night, and the Earth around here has received a much needed bath, just like those folks who went without water for two days.

It's looking like the smoke has cleared out, and let's hope the rain has put a major damper on the forest fires.  For now, life here in North Idaho is looking much more pleasant than what we've experienced the past few weeks.

Happy Monday.
