Even the neighborhood ducks are happy this morning.
Well, ducks are happy most of the time, especially in their springtime temporary ponds.
Still, their expressions symbolize the blissful joy within all hearts in the vast ZAG Nation this morning.
One announcer called it "elegance" while referring to last night's ZAGS performance as they danced their way into the NCAA Final Four.
Yes, this special team's move on the gym floor are truly like dance moves---crisp, decisive, graceful, perfectly executed, effective, sometime impish and oh so beautiful.
The win is always big, but even more awe-inspiring are the 40 minutes worth of artful basketball with moment after moment of total amazement as this team so gracefully collaborates on its pursuit of perfection.
Two more games. I hope they can have the perfect season.
For now, we can all revel in the sheer magnificence we have witnessed and enjoyed in the first 30 wins.
Thank you, ZAGS!
In other news, the Flower Farm on Selle Road is opening tomorrow at 9 a.m. Such a perfect fit for the lovely weather we'll be having through Easter weekend.
It will be fun to see what new owners Pam and John Carlin have to offer at this fun and colorful place during their first full season of operation.
I have spent the past two days clearing out a jungle in my garden. Countless raspberry stalks---need I say more? It's been quite a job.
I also decided this week, after much band aiding with hammer and nails that I might get another year out of my stand-up garden planters.
Wood takes a beating during all the wet weather around here, parts of them are suffering from decay. Still, a fresh coat of paint from the spray cans has provided a colorful distraction from their gradual demise.
One more year; then it will be time for something different.
For now, I can say the garden area looks 100 percent better than it did a week ago. It's nice to have it ready for when the weather warms up enough for actual planting.
Not much else new here at the Lovestead beside total glee with weather, ZAGS, family fun this weekend and ever-increasing signs of another welcome spring.
Happy Wednesday.
