Mama said there'd be days like this.
She sure called that one right.
On this third day of spring, I have cleaned off the satellite dishes three times.
The first time I went out into the darkness, my effort was not sufficient.
In the dark of early, early morning, you can't tell that easily that a coat of snow has become frozen to the dish.
During my first coffee cup's worth of surfing the Internet, each click meant waiting a minute or two before whatever I wanted to happen happened.
That included typing words.
This morning, four-letter words took ten times as long to type as they did to be uttered.
Why didn't they put voice commands on this computer of mine anywho?
Yeah, I know.
They knew that some unacceptable language may get transmitted from my computer to the world wide on morning's like this.
As far as photos were concerned, it took at least half an hour to finally get the two photos above to transfer from my email program to my blog.
BTW: my photos today represent the weather we have experienced during these first few days of spring.
Before my typing on this morning's post ends, I will probably have to go out and clean the dishes AGAIN.
Happy Spring!
As I told Bill, the one redeeming aspect of this morning's continuing snowfall is that I could see where not to step out in the muddy barnyard. Well, sorta.
My boots did sink down to boot top depth a couple of times.
I didn't get much of my usual reading of the news completed while hurrying up and waiting this morning, but a few minutes ago I did see a headline that said humans rank with pigs and anchovies on the human food chain.
Since I didn't have time to read the article, I don't know if that meant for others to consume or for our own consumption of food.
Maybe when the snow goes away, I can revisit that article and find out for sure.
Anyway, Happy Monday. I do know the ZAGS are playing again this morning at 11:40, and I'll probably meet the company who are coming to watch the game with broom in hand.
Once they're seated, I'll go out and sweep off the dishes again so we can watch the game.
We'll probably take turns on broom duty.
Twas quite a weekend of unpredictables. Since my computer was so slow this morning, I have no idea how dismal my brackets look this morning.
The only hope is that many others in the pool were as gobsmacked as I when chosen team after chosen team bit the dust on the March Madness dance floor.
Still, there were some neat outcomes. Even though I picked Illinois to be in the Final Four, I was thrilled for Loyola of Chicago and Sr. Jean.
What a phenomenal story and what a meaningful tribute to a lady who has meant so much to the university and her teams!
We were really happy for Oregon State as they progressed to the Sweet Sixteen last night too. Again, a nice story and they're here in the region so that makes it all the more special.
Who knows what kind of madness will happen today. All I've got to say is that I've had enough "mad" for one day with this computer and this snow going.
Speaking of "snow going," Bill has to take that Subaru in the photo up above to Coeur d'Alene today for factory recall maintenance. Should be quite a trip.
Happily, they'll give him a loaner car, and he'll probably go to a sports bar to watch the ZAGS.
Once again, the word "resilience" is flashing before my face. We here in North Idaho have a lifetime's worth of experience with resilience.
Where there's a will, there's a way, and eventually, we get 'er done, albeit often slower than expected, thanks to the elements.
Happy Monday. GO, ZAGS!!

Be safe out there, and do enjoy my friend Connie's blog. Bet it's white at her house today.
