Cheers to Bill, Margaret

How bright is this morning's sunshine?

Bright enough to tell me I need to clean the dust off from my computer screen.

Also, it's bright enough to know that Bill, the birthday boy, is going to have a beautiful drive back from Western Washington to Sandpoint today via Stevens Pass and Spokane Airport where he'll pick up Annie.

Happy Birthday, Bill.

And, while he drives, he may be thinking about his wonderful birthday gift last night, getting to attend a Major League Baseball season opener AND a game where the Seattle Mariners outlasted in extra innings the San Francisco Giants, for the win.

Now, Bill's twin sister, Margaret, the birthday girl down in California, may look at last night's game outcome differently because she has spent a good share of her life in the Bay Area.

Whatever the case, the Love twins are celebrating today.

Happy Birthday, Margaret.

Later today, when Annie and Bill arrive in Sandpoint, we'll continue the birthday celebration.

Last night while Annie and Bill attended the game, this segment of the Love family went out for dinner AND had the restaurant to ourselves----even assistance with the TV remote from one of the staff.

We all had fun last night, and we'll keep it going today and then tomorrow, more family will be together for the big ZAGS game.

It's a marathon of sorts for family activities, all in a good way AND much more appealing than how we spent this day last year, bundled up but still freezing out in the Lodgepole pasture while we tried to celebrate Willie and Bill's birthdays.

That marked the official beginning of family getting together outside and freezing during about 75 percent of those outings.

It also marked the beginning of eating a lot of cold food and learning that French fries and tater tots taste a lot better straight out of the pan.

I was reminded of that last night as I gobbled up fresh, hot tater tots like they were candy.

So, as the family weekend of birthdays, ZAGS, Easter begins, all I have to say on this gorgeous April morning is "Cheers."

Life and family are looking good.

And, so are the woodpeckers who visit the bird feeder, as you'll see below.

Happy Friday.
