Twas minus 2 when I went out to feed the horses and clean stalls.
This morning I asked Bill to open the barn door because I could barely get it shut last night.
He was able to push it about three quarters open.
Thankfully, this is the last full day of the bitter cold.
As miserable as it can be, the cold with relatively clear skies along with the dusting of new snow has created some stunning scenes around the place, especially during yesterday's sundown.
There's a sense of perfection in many of these scenes because all ingredients are spanking clean, bright and colorful.
In other news, Annie is home. She and Bill arrived just before the Gonzaga game last night.
She'll be working remotely today and then enjoying the rest of the weekend, with a possible trip to Schweitzer for snow boarding.
Sometime during the weekend, we'll all get together and watch the digital video of last Saturday night's game. That should be really neat for Willie and Debbie, who were at the game.
Annie and I are both anxious to give Willie some ribbing about all those times we could hear him yell at the refs.
The story goes on with some nice news as reported in the story below. Some players and their coach have been honored by the Inland Empire League.
Yesterday, the team and coaches received lots of applause at an all-school welcome-home assembly.
Below is a brand-spanking new music video featuring country Brad Paisley and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Paisley released it today, the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Another reminder in the lyrics that we can live worlds apart with different languages, customs, etc. but share the same simple dreams.
Enjoy, and Happy Friday.
