It's Friday!

I only noted that it's Friday in the headline to reassure readers that I still know what day of the week it is, even after 21 years of retirement.

There's something about Friday---even when you don't have to go to work every day----that makes it, for many of us, a favorite day of the week.

In the retirement world, every day is supposed to be a Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the work world, Friday's feel really good because at least one Saturday for the week lies just ahead.

So, there's a celebratory feeling to the day. I think that same state of Friday euphoria carries on through retirement for many of us.

Enough prattle about what day of the week it is.

Today looks like Friday, feels like Friday, and, by golly, it IS Friday---even more so than ever for Bill and me.

Cuz we're taking off on an adventure on this upbeat Friday, which will be followed by three Super Saturdays.

I'll leave the details for tomorrow's post.

"Super Saturdays" for me mean a break from walking horses to and from pasture twice daily, dragging hoses around to water the posies and other plants, weeding, vacuuming, keeping track of dogs, mowing lawn, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, cooking, etc.

Today's not quite a Super Saturday cuz I have already done some of the above, but once we pull out of the driveway, our beloved Elisabeth will come to watch over the critters and flowers and veggies.

We appreciate her so much, and I think the dogs and horses and cats kinda like her too. They're probably happy to have a vacation from Ma and Pa Love.

Anyway, one item that never stops even on a Super Saturday, is this blog activity---even if it might be somewhat abbreviated.

So, stay tuned.

The big reveal of just how we're spending our Super Saturdays will take place on an actual Saturday.

In the meantime, Happy Friday.
