Saturday Slight

Before seeing the elk on our place, we also fulfilled another long-planned mission.

We enjoyed Friday-night dinner at Two Tones Cafe in Bonners Ferry.

What a treat, not only with great food and fun service but also with relaxed and beautiful surroundings in the cafe's outdoor dining room.

Someone had a vision and fulfilled it in a beautiful way with stone walkways, gorgeous plants, a fountain and a waterfall.

Also, two ponds on either side of a cute bridge are teeming with Koi fish.

It was like entering a beautiful natural world, and it all felt so comfortable.

Our server Karla took our order and happily addressed our every need.

A pre-dinner surprise treat added to the thrill of enjoying this new eating spot for us.

Karla brought us a basket of mini pieces of warm frybread with a side of butter provided a nice and tasty touch to the experience.

Definitely a "yum yum" unexpected addition to our respective dinner choices.

Karla says the fry bread is a feature of the dinner menu.

We had passed by Two Tones so many times on trips through Bonners Ferry, often with the comment that "we need to try that place sometime."

And, it finally happened.

The cafe definitely offers a delightful dining experience, and we'll be back.

After our eating and elk adventures, we also tuned in to the events quickly unfolding in Russia.

It's looking like there could be some major turmoil in the world evolving from this fast-moving rebellion within Russia.

I guess we just watch and see what happens.

And, appreciate the peace and beauty that we are so fortunate to have.

Happy Saturday.

Someone's home.
