It's Oh-Dark Thirty in Newberg, Ore.t 15t
We are at the motel, and will soon go to DevonWood, which is about eight minutes away.
I'm here with my sister Laurie who will be competing at a Regional Arabian Dressage Show. Her friend Roxzene and her daughter Jody came along with Roxzene's horse Eddie.
We'll be leaving soon for the first long day.
And, now we are AT DevonWood. I was unable to finish what I was going to say today because I met Monte in the motel lobby.
When two talkers meet early in the morning, the computers get a break. Laurie eventually came to the lobby and told me it was time to go.
I packed up my laptop and as I went out the door, Monte was still talking.
And, so our day at DevonWood has begun. Roxzene, Jody and Laurie are cleaning stalls and getting their horses ready for today's show, which is a preliminary event leading up to the Regionals over the weekend.
It's hot here in Portland so this early-morning hour feels good.
We had a pretty smooth trip traveling through Washington and Northern Oregon yesterday with DevonWood as our destination.
It's a beautiful horse facility, and I'm anxious to walk around the grounds and take pictures.
For now, though, I'll sign off to go help Laurie who has a class just after 9 a.m.
Enjoy the pictures, and, no, we did not go to Colorado or Winslow, Ariz. It was fun to see people's guesses as I posted pictures on Facebook throughout the day.
More horse stuff at a pretty facility coming tomorrow.
Happy Friday, and thanks again, Bill, for watching the beloveds.
